Welcome to the Cardinal and White

This summer, Amanda made a trip to her Dad's home town of Madison, Wisconsin.  This was Amanda's first trip to Wisconsin.  She attended a University of Wisconsin Girls Hockey Camp for one week.  This camp was coached by the coaches for the 2006 NCAA Division I National Champion UW Women's Hockey Team.

Head Coach Mark Johnson and his staff of Coaches Tracy Cornell and Daniel Koch, along with UW players Jessie Vetter and Mikka Nordby made this a wonderful camp for Amanda.  Amanda did hold the record for the most distance traveled to attend this camp. Coach Johnson seemed to enjoy joking with Amanda about rattlesnakes and Arizona related things.  All the girls had a blast!

Coach Johnson brought the NCAA Championship Trophy to Camp.  He let the girls get their pictures with the Trophy.  What a motivator for a young girl!  Now, Amanda definitely wants to be on a College team that will win this prestigious award!  You go Girl!  You can do it!

Amanda was asked to demonstrate several drills while in camp. This was a cross over foot work drill that Coach Johnson asked her to show the group.
