Congratulations Amanda Martin!

In January 2011, Amanda was offered, and accepted a position to their program as one of the top female hockey athletes in the country! NAHA receives between 150 –500 applications to their program each year for the two teams at NAHA. It is such a tremendous honor to be granted a position in this program.

The Senior (White) Team finished the season ranked first in the nation this year. The Junior (Red) Team finished the season ranked 4th in the Nation. My Hockey Rankings

Both NAHA teams finished in first place in their divisions in the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL),  winning their Championship games. Amanda played 16 games with the NAHA Red Team. Amanda’s team won two Tournament Championships in those 16 games including the Girls U16 AA Division (Tier I) at the Bauer Invitation in Rochester, NY.

Amanda also played 40 games for the Arizona Runners Bantam Tier II team. The team had a very good season and finished 2nd in the State Championship. In the combined 56 games between the two teams She earned 0.5 points per game.

Scholastically, Amanda is a Honor Roll student at school with a 3.95 Grade Point Average.

4.2% of all the women rostered, and playing for the 34 NCAA Division I Women's College Hockey teams, graduated from NAHA! That is more than almost twice the number, and more then any of any other Prep School or Hockey Academy in North America!

This year in the NCAA Women's Frozen Four Finals (Wisconsin, Boston University, Boston College and Cornell), NAHA had 9 players represented on the four teams in the finals. All were contributing players on their schools rosters.

Amanda can only hope, to one day, follow in their footsteps and to be considered as one of these elite level players.

Amanda Martin is role model for all youth hockey players says “Coach Shawn Babin” head coach of the 2010-2011 Bantam Tier II team. Amanda’s work ethic and dedication for progression on and off the ice will create great opportunities.

On behalf of the Arizona Runners we all wish her the best and she will always be considered a member of the Runners family.
